New Israeli Ambassador Ronen Krausz visited the Museum of Jewishness in Israel

The newly appointed Ambassador of the State of Israel to Azerbaijan, Ronen Krausz, began active work to prepare for his appointment long before arriving in Azerbaijan. As part of his preparations, the new ambassador is visiting activists of the Azerbaijani and Caucasian diaspora in various cities in Israel.

One of the symbolic visits was to the Museum of the Heritage of Caucasian and Azerbaijani Jewry in the city of Or Akiva. Ambassador Ronen Krausz demonstrated a genuine interest in the culture and heritage of the Jews of the Caucasus and Azerbaijan.

He also demonstrated his knowledge in many areas of public life of the diaspora of people from Azerbaijan and the Caucasus. As part of the meeting at the Heritage Museum, Ambassador Ronen Krausz met with representatives of the community of Jews from Azerbaijan and the Caucasus, including:

Chairman of the All-Israeli Association of Immigrants from Azerbaijan and the Caucasus Pavel Elizarov, chief of the bureau of the Azerbaijani Jewish Media Center in Israel Igor Roytapel.

During the exchange of opinions and discussion of the topic affecting the life of the diaspora, Ronen Krausz said that he was pleased to visit the museum of the heritage of people from the Caucasus and Azerbaijan, and was also glad to personally meet Pavel Elizarov - the Chairman of All-Israeli Association of Mountain Jews from Caucasus.

The importance of strengthening ties between Israel and Azerbaijan, as well as the development of the Jewish community in Azerbaijan, was emphasized.

The ambassador is likely to carry out these and other tasks after presenting his credentials to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan upon his arrival in the country.
